She wasn't about to go chasing her off simply because she'd run out of questions. But there is a flatness. "I am, of course, a reckless, arrogant, displaced ruler, who keeps terrible things to herself, so I... understand if the same cannot be returned."
Her eyebrow lifts, the implication isn't self-pitying, Teren won't be doing herself any favours at the moment. Acting like politics didn't exist for the sake of politeness didn't change them, and she wasn't in the mood for those sort of games and vanities.
But the bottle and their empty glasses are between them.
